The photos taken from higher up are from my windows, the others are streets nearby. My apartment is 38 Boulevarden, along one of the main (and cute!) streets through Aalborg. It is above a cafe called Cafe Luna, which I have yet to visit.
PS. It should be pretty easy to comment on posts, you can just use anonymous and leave your name in the post. I'm not going to beg for comments like I did with my ecuador blog, but do know that I appreciate any thoughts you feel like sharing, and so I know that I have some readers!
More posts to come soon on the people I've met, my program, some planning topics of interest, the city, the funny things that happen when you really don't know what's going on in a new country, the drunk danes, etc!
Wow--and I thought my town was cute! This place looks like something out of a storybook. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos Bree. The low quaint contiguous buildings built right on a cobblestone lane with red tile roofs remind me of so many villages in Europe. I've seen them in Scotland most recently (with grey slate roofs.)
ReplyDeleteAlthough the Danes, and Scandinavians in general, are drinking cultures, according to Wiki-p, "Significantly, Northern European countries are among the most stringent in their punishment of offenders driving under the influence of alcohol, sometimes imposing a lifetime loss of driving privileges without appeal." Wish we had that here! Mary
Bree! This is a tight blog. I have added it to my Google Reader already. Can't wait to read more about your adventures with the crazy Danes. Are you going to check out Skagen, the top N. point? Are you sick of meat and potatoes yet?
ReplyDeleteAnne - yours looks cute too! I've been following the tumblr..
ReplyDeleteMary - Yes indeed, I have a post on danish drinking coming up...
Amy - thanks! I hope to get to Skagen for sure, any other top spots? Haha not sick of meat and potatoes since I'm not living with a family and eating out is so expensive! I have yet to break into the danish cuisine scene but perhaps soon...
Oh girl you got readers! You better believe. If you feel safe doing so can you post your mailing address or message it to me THANKS! And p.s. nice clouds :)
